What fails and why

With many of these cars there is a problem with water ingress. On the Q7 this is due to with the panoramic roof have issues with the roof drain blocking or splitting , also the sunroof assembly splits in the rear corner allowing water to enter the car – straight on top of the amplifier .

The amplifier usually shows signs of water damage which can be moderate to severe this causes problems

Removal

The unit is located at the rear of the car on the right hand side – pretty much all the trim has to be removed to gain access . the amplifier is mounted to a bracket/frame (please remove this – it will make the packaging smaller).
