Mazda 6 from 2010 onwards
This amplifier can be found in all models of the Mazda 6 from 2010 forwards. It’s easy to spot as the speaker grilles will have the Bose logo on them. Note that we can only repair the models with the model numbers shown on this page. You’ll find the model number on the underside of the amplifier. This is an ‘always on’ amp, it turns on the minute you open your car door, even if the head unit is off.

Diagnosing the problem
The stereo head unit rarely fails on the Mazda 6.
A faulty amplifier can cause a number of issues such as a stuttering machine gun sound, no sound, white noise or a random noise when the car door is opened.

What we can’t repair
Amplifiers that have extensive burns, fire damage or extreme water damage are not possible to repair, that being said, we have managed to fix every single unit we have received to date. Opening your amplifier and sending us a clear image of the circuit board will allow us to give you a better idea of whether it is repairable.
How to remove your amplifier
This is one of the easier amplifiers to remove, the unit is located under the passenger seat. You’ll need a 10mm spanner to remove the 3 nuts down the bracket it is attached to (and be mindful of the wiring plugs).
Once you have disconnected and removed the unit, further remove the black mounting frame by unscrewing the four 8mm nuts (it will reduce the weight and size of the package when you send it for repair).
