What fails and why

With many of these cars there is a problem with water ingress. On the  rear trunk driver side plastic molding this is due to the  blocking of the plastic plugs.

The amplifier usually shows signs of water damage which can be moderate to severe this causes problems with :-

– there is no sound
– the sound interrupts
– no radio stations
– radio stations interrupt

Complete failure – this is often down to electrical surge which damages the delicate components within the amplifier – occasionally this may result in recoding being necessary ..
